UNICALCONS Services Company Limited is the consultancy arm of the University Of Calabar, which was first established in 1986 as Unical Consultancy Services, in response to the federal Government's directive to Nigeria Universities to develop means of raising funds to augment the statutory grants from the Federation account, which has been grossly inadequate for the enormous financial requirement of running the institution. The company has since made significant achievement in this regard as well as in community service.

Unicalcons Services Company was first registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) with Reg.No PH018331, on 2nd June, 1995. In March 2007, it became a Limited Liability Company, registered under the CAC, with Reg.No.681196.
